Black Friday 2026: what is worth buying, and how to tell a real deal

Twenty of the UK's most in-demand big-ticket products, each with an honest guide. Decide what you want now, then judge the price on the day.

When is Black Friday 2026?

Black Friday is on Friday 27 November 2026, and Cyber Monday is on Monday 30 November. Amazon UK usually starts its deals about a week early. In 2025 its Black Friday Week ran from 20 November to 1 December. Amazon has not confirmed its 2026 dates yet.

How to tell a real deal from a fake one

  1. Decide before the sale. Pick the product and model you want now. Shoppers who browse on the day buy what is discounted, not what they need.
  2. Check the price history. A free price tracker such as CamelCamelCamel shows what a product has sold for on Amazon over time. A "was" price is often the recommended retail price, not last month's price.
  3. Match the exact model. Brands sell near-identical models with different codes, colours and bundles. A big discount on a different code may be an older or cut-down version.
  4. Look at what is in the box. Attachments, extra tubs, covers and cases change the value more than a few pounds off.
  5. Check who is selling it. For brands that get counterfeited, such as ghd and Dyson, buy from the brand or from Amazon.
  6. Know your returns window. Amazon usually extends returns over the Christmas period. Check the dates on the listing.
