Are the Apple AirPods Pro 3 worth buying in 2026?

The Apple AirPods Pro 3 are worth considering if you use an iPhone and want earbuds with strong noise cancelling that work seamlessly across Apple devices. They add heart rate sensing for workouts and Live Translation. On Android you lose most of what makes them special, so look elsewhere.

The 30-second verdict
AirPods Pro 3 are Apple's top in-ear earbuds. Apple says they remove up to twice as much noise as the AirPods Pro 2, and they get up to 8 hours of listening with noise cancelling on. New this time are a heart rate sensor and Live Translation. They make most sense if you are already in Apple's world. If you have working AirPods Pro 2, the upgrade is optional.

What actually matters
The Apple link is the feature
Automatic switching between your devices, one-tap setup and Find My are the reasons to pay more than for other earbuds.
Fit decides everything
Noise cancelling and sound both depend on a good seal. Try the different ear tips before judging them.

- Batteries in all earbuds wear down over a few years and are hard to replace.

AirPods Pro 3 or AirPods 4?
AirPods 4 are cheaper and have an open fit with no silicone tips. The Pro 3 seal in the ear, cancel far more noise and add the health features.
