How We Choose Products

Tipped2Win guides are research-based. We do not buy or test the products, and we will never pretend that we have.

1. We follow demand

We look at what UK shoppers are buying and searching for on Amazon UK. Products make the list when they are selling in large numbers in their category and cost enough that the decision deserves some thought.

2. We read the specifications

Specifications come from the manufacturer's own listing on Amazon UK. Each guide shows the date we last checked them. Where a figure is the manufacturer's claim, we say so.

3. We explain what matters

A list of features does not help you decide. We explain which ones matter in a real home, and which numbers are less impressive than they sound.

4. We name the drawbacks

Every guide has a "Think twice if" section and a list of drawbacks. If a cheaper or simpler product would suit you better, we say that.

What we do not do

We do not show prices, because they change constantly. The Amazon listing is always the source of truth.
We do not copy customer reviews or star ratings.
We do not use countdown timers, fake stock warnings or "only today" claims.
We do not use manufacturer photographs. The illustrations are our own and show the type of product, not the exact model.
