Is the Ninja MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer 9.5L worth buying in 2026?
Two drawers, two foods, one finish time.
The Ninja MAX Dual Zone 9.5L (DZ400UK) is worth considering if you cook for four or more and want mains and sides ready together without using the oven. Each drawer has its own settings. The trade-off is size: it needs a worktop spot about 42cm wide, and it is more than a couple needs.

The 30-second verdict
Two independent drawers are the whole point. You can air fry chips in one and roast chicken in the other, and the machine can time them to finish together. With 9.5 litres in total it suits family cooking and batch cooking. If you mostly cook for one or two, a smaller single-drawer model does the same job in less space.

What actually matters
Two drawers beat one big one for real meals
Most dinners are two things that cook differently. Separate drawers with separate temperatures and times are what make this style of air fryer more useful than a single large basket.
Measure your worktop first
At about 42cm wide it takes up the space of a large microwave. Check the height under your wall cupboards too, because hot air vents from the back.
The drawbacks
- It is big and not something you will want to lift in and out of a cupboard.
- Two drawers means two things to wash, although the drawers and plates are non-stick.
- Each drawer is narrower than a single large basket, so a big pizza or a wide tray will not fit.
Ninja MAX 9.5L or the smaller 7.6L Dual Zone?
Ninja also sells a 7.6L Dual Zone (AF300UK) with the same six functions and smaller drawers. The 9.5L makes sense for bigger households and batch cooking. The 7.6L is the better fit for two to four people and takes a little less space.
Buying it on Black Friday 2026
Air fryers are one of the most searched Black Friday products in the UK, and Ninja models are regularly included in Amazon's event. Colours are sold as separate listings and are not always the same price, so check each one. Black Friday is on Friday 27 November 2026. We do not list prices here because they change by the hour. Questions people ask
Can the two drawers cook at different temperatures?
Yes. Each drawer is an independent zone with its own function, temperature and time, and they can be set to finish together.
Is 9.5L too big for two people?
Usually, yes. It works, but you will be heating more space than you need. A smaller single-drawer or the 7.6L dual model suits two people better.
Are the drawers dishwasher safe?
Ninja describes the drawers and crisper plates as non-stick and dishwasher safe. Check the current listing for the exact model.
Does an air fryer really use less energy than an oven?
Ninja claims a saving on oven energy use, based on its own testing of recommended cook times. A smaller cavity that heats quickly generally uses less electricity for small to medium portions.
