Check the case says iPad (A16) or 11th generation. Cases for the 10th generation usually fit too, but not other iPads.
The best iPad A16 case for most people is a slim folio that wakes and sleeps the screen, such as the TiMOVO or JETech, because they protect the screen and double as a stand without adding bulk. Will a case fit my iPad?
- The iPad (A16) is the 2025 11-inch iPad, also called the 11th generation. Check Settings, General, About for the model number: A3354, A3355 or A3356.
- It is the same size as the 10th generation iPad (2022), and most cases are sold for both. Check the listing names your model.
- Cases for the iPad Air, iPad Pro or iPad mini do not fit, even when the screen size is similar.
Types of iPad A16 case
- Smart folio or trifold. A cover that folds into a stand and wakes or sleeps the iPad. Light and slim; the back is usually a hard or translucent shell.
- Case with a pencil holder. The same idea with a slot that holds an Apple Pencil, so you do not lose it.
- Kids' case. Thick, soft EVA foam with a handle and stand. Bulky, but it survives drops.
- Keyboard case. A cover with a detachable or built-in keyboard for typing, school or work.
