Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro vs Premier vs Mini: which should you buy?

Cold brew and hands-free froth push you to the Premier. The Pro mostly adds froth options.

The Ninja Luxe Cafe Premier is the best fit for most people: it makes espresso, filter coffee and cold brew, grinds and weighs the beans for you and froths milk hands-free. The Pro adds an extra froth setting and a bigger jug. The Luxe Cafe Mini is the smaller, simpler 2-in-1: espresso and filter coffee only, with either a manual or a hands-free steam wand. Here is how the four Ninja Luxe Cafe models compare, from their Amazon UK listings on 18 October 2026.

What every Ninja Luxe Cafe does

  • Grinds whole beans with a built-in burr grinder, then weighs the dose with a built-in scale. Ninja calls this Barista Assist: it recommends grind changes and monitors the brew, which takes most of the guesswork out of home espresso.
  • Makes espresso through a portafilter that you fit and tamp yourself, using an assisted tamper. It is a semi-automatic machine, not a one-button bean to cup.
  • Makes filter-style coffee as well as espresso, so it suits a house where people drink both.

The differences that matter

  • Cold brew. The Premier and the Pro are 3-in-1 machines that add cold brew. The Mini models are 2-in-1: espresso and filter only.
  • Milk frothing. The Premier and Pro froth milk hands-free with a wand that steams and whisks at the same time. The Mini ES351UK also has a hands-free wand. The Mini ES301UK has a manual steam wand, where you move the jug yourself.
  • Froth settings. The Premier has four (steamed milk, thin, thick and cold froth). The Pro has five, adding extra-thick froth, and comes with an XL froth jug.
  • Size. The Premier and Pro are about 37cm tall, 34cm wide and 35cm deep and weigh about 17kg. The Mini is the compact option for a smaller kitchen.

Ninja Luxe Cafe or a bean to cup machine?

A bean to cup machine makes the whole drink at one touch, milk included. A Ninja Luxe Cafe asks you to fit the portafilter and tamp, but gives you more control and filter coffee as well. If you want zero effort, see our guide to the best bean to cup coffee machines.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between the Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro and Premier?

Both make espresso, filter coffee and cold brew with hands-free frothing. The Pro adds a fifth froth preset (extra-thick) and an XL froth jug, and it is slightly larger. For most people the Premier is enough.

What is the Ninja Luxe Cafe Mini?

A smaller 2-in-1 machine that makes espresso and filter coffee, with a built-in burr grinder and scale. It does not make cold brew. The ES351UK has a hands-free steam wand; the ES301UK has a manual one.

Is the Ninja Luxe Cafe Premier worth it?

If you want café-style espresso and lattes with help on grind and dose, plus filter coffee and cold brew from one machine, yes. If you want one-touch drinks with no tamping, a bean to cup machine suits you better.

Does the Ninja Luxe Cafe need cleaning tablets?

Ninja recommends regular cleaning and descaling. Ninja and third-party cleaning tablets are sold for the Luxe range, and a knock box makes emptying the used coffee easier.

Can the Ninja Luxe Cafe froth plant milk?

Ninja says the hands-free froth system works with dairy and plant-based milk. Results vary by brand of milk, and barista versions usually froth best.
