When we checked it
- ✓Checked 2026-10-02Link working, reward and eligibility reviewed against the merchant's own page. Things can change after we check. How we check offers
RenewalBox is a renewal tracker that reminds you before things expire or renew: subscriptions, insurance, MOTs, domains, licences and warranties. It has a free plan, so you can try it without paying. We make RenewalBox, so this page is an advert for our own product. This page explains what the RenewalBox free plan includes, what is only in the paid plan and the limits to know before you start.

What you get with the RenewalBox free plan
- Up to 5 active renewals.
- In-app reminders, a dashboard and a calendar view.
- Basic categories and push notifications.
- It works in your browser and can be installed on your phone as an app, with no app store needed.
What you need to do
- Open RenewalBox and choose Start free.
- Create an account. The sign-up page does not ask for a card.
- Add your first renewal with its due date and, if you want, what it costs.
- Set when you want to be reminded, such as 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before.
What could it cost you?
The RenewalBox free plan costs nothing. RenewalBox Plus is optional. At the time we checked it was £1.99 a month or £19.99 a year, and it adds up to 100 renewals, email reminders, custom reminder schedules, cost tracking with price history, and CSV import and export. RenewalBox says you can cancel any time, and that moving back to the free plan never deletes your data: it only pauses adding new renewals beyond the free limit.
The catches with the RenewalBox free plan
- Capped at 5 renewals. More than that needs the paid plan.
- No email reminders on the free plan. Reminders arrive in the app and as push notifications, so they only help if you open the app or allow notifications.
- It is our own product. Tipped2Win owns it, so we have a direct interest in you using it.
- Prices and limits can change. Check the pricing page before you upgrade.
Who is the RenewalBox free plan good for?
It suits anyone with a handful of renewals that really matter, such as car insurance, the MOT, a domain name or one or two subscriptions, and who would rather get a reminder than rely on memory. If you have dozens of items, or you want reminders by email, you would need Plus, or a different tool.
Free alternatives to check
A calendar with repeating alerts is a free way to do the same job, and so is a spreadsheet. If you only need one reminder, your insurer or the GOV.UK MOT reminder service may already send one. RenewalBox is useful when you want everything in one place with a cost total. See our guide to a renewal reminder app for how to choose.
Is the RenewalBox free plan worth it?
If you have a few important dates, yes, it is a quick way to stop missing them and it costs nothing. If you do not need reminders, skip it. We checked these details on 2 October 2026 and will update this page when they change. Read how we make money and how we verify offers.
