How We Verify Offers
Offers change quickly, so every offer on Tipped2Win carries a “last checked” date. This page explains how we verify offers, what that date means, and what we do when something cannot be confirmed.

How we verify offers before they go live
- Source. We find the offer on the merchant’s own website or official channels, and record where.
- Details. We record the price, the saving, who can claim it, whether a card is needed, the price after any trial, the end date and the catches.
- Link. We test that the link works and goes where we say it does.
- Disclosure. We mark whether the link earns us commission, and label it clearly.
- Value. We ask what the page gives you that the merchant’s page does not. If the answer is nothing, we do not publish it.
How we verify: what we check on every offer
- Is the offer still live on the merchant’s own page?
- Is the price or reward the same as we say?
- Who can claim it, and who is excluded?
- Does it need a card, a minimum spend or a new account?
- What happens after a free trial ends, and how do you cancel?
- When does it end, and does that end date look real?
An offer cannot go live on our system unless it has a source, a verification date from the last seven days, the catches written down and, where it earns us money, the right label.
How we verify offers stay up to date
- Offers are rechecked regularly. If we cannot confirm an offer still stands, it is hidden from our main pages until we can.
- Expired offers are marked as expired, and we point to a current alternative where there is one.
- Where an offer includes a reward for you, the amount is only shown while we have checked it recently. After that it is hidden until we recheck.
What “last checked” does not mean
It means we looked on that date. Merchants can change terms at any time, and we cannot see every change. Always check the merchant’s own page before you buy or sign up.
How we treat rewards and referrals
Some rewards are random, vary by person or depend on a promotion that can change. When that is the case we say so, and we never promise a fixed amount that the merchant does not promise. Read more on how we make money.
What we will not verify or publish
- Offers we cannot find on the merchant’s own page.
- Prices or discounts we cannot check.
- Health, debt or gambling offers.
- Anything that uses fake urgency, such as countdowns that reset.
Why verification matters
A deal that has expired, a price that has changed or a trial that now needs a card can waste your time or cost you money. For that reason we treat the date on an offer as part of the offer itself. If you want independent guidance on your rights when something goes wrong, Citizens Advice explains what to do. We also follow the advertising rules published by the Advertising Standards Authority, which cover how commercial links and claims must be presented.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, tell us through the contact page. We will check it and update or remove it. We would rather fix a mistake quickly than leave it.
Learn how to check offers yourself
You can use the same approach we do. Our guides on spotting a fake discount and how to cancel a free trial show you what to look for, and our tools help with the maths.
